In honour of Henry Scott and all those that died that day in the slit trench beside the Post Office.

Post Master Hurtle Bald, Alice Bald, Iris Bald, Emily Young, Eileen Mullen, Jean Mullen,Freda Stasinowsky, Archibald Halls, Arthur Willington and Walter Rowling who later died from injuries from that day.

Introduction for the content of Red Spots Over Darwin.

A compelling true story of a young man working up a high telegraph pole who sees the first formation of Japanese planes fly into Darwin bombing the harbour and then the Post Office on 19 February 1942.

He loses three of his family members in the first bombing raid and recovers their bodies. He goes onto be instrumental in the significant change over from Morse Code to Speaking Ciruit during World War II while working for the Post Master General Department.

His experience leaves him with war time neurosis but revovers when he returns home to his family in South Australia. He later finds love that gives him the strength and desire to return to the Territory that left a huge impact on his early life.
